Explorers sift mine rough in our muddy river and discover genuine collector rocks and gemstones-Amethyst, Citrine, Fools Gold, Periodically you may even find an arrowhead or two. Take home whatever treasure you find. The mining sluice is open for panning anytime but should also be considered for school field trips, scout meetings and as an add-on for birthday parties. Whether it's for a geologist badge or to supplement fourth or fifth grade curriculum, we can help put together a program that will be educational, fun and memorable. Price for mining is $6 per bag for walk-ins and $5 per bag for parties/group events. Custom bags including fossils and birthstones are also available by request.
